Down At the Sea Hotel features 14 lullabies written by celebrated songwriters of our time (Neil Young, Billy Joel, Carole King, Don Henley, Nanci Griffith, Tom Waits, Mary Chapin Carpenter). The Wailin’ Jennys and other fantastic Red House Records artists perform on the CD, including Guy Davis, Lucy Kaplansky, John Gorka, Eliza Gilkyson, and Lynn Miles. The title song written by Greg Brown reads like a bedtime story and is illustrated by Governor General Award-winner Mireille Levert. The Jennys contributed their versions of a Neil Young song called "Barefoot Floors" and a Gord Downie tune "Trick Rider." The Jennys also sing backup on a few tunes alongside the other musicians.

Though often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, this day allows women everywhere to look back on a tradition of struggle for equality, justice, peace and development. As a tribute to this tradition, Putumayo World Music presents an album that literally sings its praises. 'Calling All Angels' mp3 download
Our live recording of Jane Siberry's "Calling All Angels" is now available for download. This version was recorded at the Mauch Chunk Opera House in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania by Kent Heckman of Red Rock Recording and mixed and mastered by David Travers-Smith. Just go to download the track using Paypal, a secure server. We will be donating a portion of each sale to the Red Cross in support of the organization's international relief work.

Parting Glass Sheet Music
There is now sheet music available for 'The Parting Glass'. It is a three-part a capella version (SSA), written as it is sung by the Jennys. The price for one full score is $5.00 USD. Additional copies for the same performing group are $0.50. The music is available in the form of a digital PDF file, which will be emailed upon receipt of payment. There is now sheet music available for 'Arlington'. It is a three-part version (SSA), written as it is sung by the Jennys. It includes the guitar chords as well as an optional piano accompaniment. The price for the full score with piano accompaniment is $6.00 USD. If it is being performed by a choir with an accompanist then Nicky asks that two copies be bought. Additional copies of the vocal score (intended for choirs) are $0.75 USD. Both the full score and the vocal score are available in the form of a digital PDF file, which will be emailed upon receipt of payment (PLEASE NOTE: sending out the PDFs is not an automated process and requires that someone from the team see your order so please allow up to 48 hours for your music to arrive via email).
